This 3 credits distance course explores both conceptual framework and practical applications of living technology from the perspective of field informatics. Three significant scenarios including nature observation, human observation and innovation will be explored and studied wtih 9 different methodologies and approaches: remote sensing, biologging, system dynamics, ethnography, human sensing, case study, inclusive design, multi-agent simulation and outreach communication. Faculties from Kyoto University and National Taiwan University will work together to teach and coordinate the class and facilitate students on both classrooms.
